download flyerOU Women’s Studies Program presents Dr. Robert Jensen on “The Paradox of Pornography: Sex, Intimacy and Communication.” Dr. Jensen is an associate professor in the School of Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in media law, ethics, and politics. Prior to his academic career, Jensen worked as a professional journalist for a decade. He is also involved in a number of activist groups working against U.S. military and economic domination of the rest of the world.

Dr. Jensen’s new book Getting Off: Pornography and the End of Masculinity (South End Press, 2007) is available at Little Professor and through the library. His other books include The Heart of Whiteness: Confronting Race, Racism, and White Privilege (City Lights, 2005) and Citizens of the Empire: The Struggle to Claim Our Humanity (City Lights, 2004).
