Eugenie C. Scott, executive director of the National Center for Science Education, will present this year’s Frontiers in Science lecture. Scott has been both a researcher and an activist in the creationism/evolution controversy for more than twenty-five years. She has received national recognition for her NCSE activities, including awards from the National Science Board, the American Society for Cell Biology, the American Institute of Biological Sciences, the Geological Society of America, and the American Humanist Association.

Jeanette Grasselli Brown, an alumna and former member the OU Board of Trustees, and her husband, endowed the Frontiers in Science Lecture Series in 1999 with a contribution to The Ohio University Foundation.
