Students entering grades 10, 11, and 12 have the chance to explore a career in engineering by attending the first Women in Engineering Summer Camp ever held at Washington State Community College.

This camp offers hands on activities for participants to experience teamwork and solve problems. They will also explore different engineering careers, see engineers in action on a field trip, and ask questions of professional women engineers at an industrial round table discussion.

This camp is open only to students entering the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Registration is $40 and should be brought to the first day of camp. However, registration forms should be returned as soon as possible.

There are a limited number of seats available, which will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Participants should bring a sack lunch each day, except for Friday when a pizza lunch will be provided. Participants will also receive a Women in Engineering Summer Camp t-shirt and a chance to win door prizes.

The Women in Engineering Summer Camp is sponsored by Washington State Community College and American Electric Power.
