Community Food Initiatives (CFI) will host a workshop with Marjie Shew.  Marjie of Shew’s Orchard (http://www.shewsorchard.com/), a longtime regular vendor at the Athens County Farmer’s Market, will be conducting the canning workshop with her personally favorite pickled beet recipe.
The public is warmly invited.

Community Food Initiatives is a membership-based non-profit working to increase self-reliance in food production and processing through education and mentoring.

ACEnet (Appalachian Center for Economic Networks) is a non-profit engaged in business development in southeastern Ohio. ACEnet’s Food Ventures’ services include a time-share processing facility and technical expertise for local producers.
