This week the Donkey’s open stage poetry night will feature a special emphasis on women and women’s voices in poetry and spirit.

Women Acting for Change is encouraging women and men to share their favorite poems written by women poets. If you are a woman yourself and have some poetry you have written that you would like to share, we would be most interested in hearing your voice expressed in our community.

WAC will be collecting extra change and donations for local domestic violence shelter My Sister’s Place (http://home.frognet.net/~mysis/). So tell everyone you know about this event, grab a cup of coffee, shake off the busy school blues, and prepare to enjoy a great evening of poetry.

Women Acting for Change (http://storg.admsrv.ohio.edu/displayDetail.cfm?OrgId=559281) is a group that rises awareness for gender issues. We organize, host, and help with events that help rise this awareness to the university and the community.
