Baker Center, Room 230 (http://www.ohio.edu/center)
Ohio University, Athens, Ohio

Kelli Arthur Hykes, Regional Advocacy Director for Planned Parenthood Affiliates of Ohio (http://www.ppao.org/) will join Up in Arms to lead a conversation about the current state of Reproductive Choice in Ohio and Planned Parenthood’s legislative work to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies in Ohio. She and other choice leaders are lobbying for the introduction and passage of The Ohio Prevention First Act in the state legislature. Kelli will offer opportunities to get involved locally and statewide fighting for reproductive rights.

Up In Arms is a student organization that seeks to promote progressive awareness, action, and change through art and media. Ms. Hykes’ presentation is part of an intiative to create conversations and artistic work that engage and explore current women’s issues. Please join us and spread the word among other women’s groups on campus and in the community to participate in what we hope will be an informative and inspiring presentation.

What do YOU have to say? Up In Arms exists to enable artists and activists to make a stand. Have an idea for a short film? Writing some politically-charged music? Want to show your photos/paintings/sculpture or publish your anti-establishment essay? Come to our general body meetings and tell us. We’ll put you in touch with people who can help you.
