11:30 a.m.
Dedication of Art Installation (1st floor)
Laid permanently in terrazzo on the atrium floor, the art of Aminah Robinson (http://www.freedomcenter.org/artists/aminah-robinson.html)—images that led to a book titled A STREET CALLED HOME—depicts scenes from Poindexter Village. Her colorful work reflects the vibrant street life of the neighborhood and the people who inhabited it. Join in celebrating its presence in the new center. (Story on the installation)

1:30 p.m.
Dedication of Women’s Center (4th floor)
Join community in celebrating the opening of this new campus resource. Refreshments, ribbon-cutting, live music by women’s singing ensemble Calliope Feminist Choir, and more.

1:45 p.m.
Dedication of Women in Philanthropy Room (3rd floor)
In recognition of the extraordinary contributions of a group of women philanthropists, the first named conference space in the center will be unveiled. Join us for refreshments and celebration.

2 p.m.
Fireside Chat with Aminah Robinson (1804 Lounge, 5th floor)
Artist Aminah Robinson (http://www.columbusmuseum.org/exhibitions/aminah.php), creator of the work laid permanently in terrazzo on the first floor of the atrium, will meet with those interested in her work. Come with questions or comments to share.

4 p.m.
OU Women’s Chorale with Title IX
Enjoy the sound of voices echoing through the Center’s atrium. Title IX is an all female a cappella group that was formed in 2002 by several ambitious members of the OU Women’s Chorale. Its 16 members sing a cappella arrangements of all types of music from Manhattan Transfer to Sublime.

7 p.m.
Lecture: Bobby Moresco (Grand Ballroom, 4th floor)

Film writer/producer of MILLION DOLLAR BABY and CRASH (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0375679/ ), Bobby Moresco (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0604263/) will present a public lecture and take questions from the audience. Presented collaboratively by University Program Council, Black Student Cultural Programming Board, and International Student Union.

9 p.m.
Film: MILLION DOLLAR BABY (Theater, 2nd floor)

Winner of four Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor, this modern classic about boxing and life stars Hillary Swank. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0405159/)

Midnight
Film: CRASH (Theater, 2nd floor)
Free with an Ohio University ID
Moving at the speed of life, we are bound to collide with each other. CRASH features an all-star cast including Sandra Bullock. Produced and co-written by the critically-acclaimed Bobby Moresco.

* Each of these events is free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted. All of the dining services in the center are always open to the public
* Public parking will be available in the Center’s parking garage ($1 per hour). Enter off Oxbow Drive. Handicapped parking (no charge) will be available for those attending the Grand Opening at Lot 122, also off of Oxbow Drive, next to the Center’s first floor entrance.
* Guided tours of the building will be given throughout the day, departing from both Guest Services desks on the 1st and 4th floors. Printed “User’s Guides” are also available at those locations.
* All offices and spaces in the center will host open houses, many with refreshments, from 1 to 6 p.m., including the LGBT Center (http://www.ohio.edu/lgbt/)
