Tenia Bannick is a LEED Accredited Architectural Designer and long time practitioner of sustainable, green, high performance, or integrative design. LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design,(http://www.usgbc.org/LEED/) is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. She will present a case study of the first project in New England to achieve LEED Gold Certification. You will learn how this green building rating system is structured, implemented and documented, as well as some of the lessons learned by the design and construction team in the process of reaching for LEED Gold. Speaker is part of the monthly meeting of the Appalachian Ohio Group Sierra Club (http://ohio.sierraclub.org/appalachian/).
