Free and open to the public.

The Birth Circle is offering a new educational program for pregnant women and their partners based on the Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative from the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services.

Designed to educate expectant women about their rights and responsibilities as health care consumers, it encourages women to think ahead about care for themselves and their babies at the time of birth and offers ten questions to ask health care providers when considering where and how you’d like to give birth. We will explore many topics including pain relief options, labor support, and position changes as they relate to evidence-based care.

There is no fee to attend and participants are encouraged to register by calling 740-592-5875 or emailing Brandi at hollowaygrady -at- This program is made possible in part by Lamaze International and Open Meadows Foundation. For more information about The Birth Circle visit
