Medea Benjamin, peace and justice activist

Anti-war and economic justice activist and CODEPINK (http://www.codepink4peace.org/) and Global Exchange (http://www.globalexchange.org/) co-founder Medea Benjamin will be in Athens for two events:
12:30 p.m. Brown bag
Lower level at UCM (18 North College) (http://www.ucmathens.org/). Ms. Benjamin will dialogue with students and community members about individual activism — its necessity, its inspiration, etc.
7:30 p.m. An Evening with Medea Benjamin
Baker Center Ballroom, OU campus (http://www.ohiou.edu/athens/bldgs/baker.html). Ms. Benjamin will talk about the Iraq War, the role of the anti-war women’s group CODEPINK, and her most recent trip to the Middle East in late summer.
